The internet is a pretty cool place. Thanks to social media, we’ve been able to share our business with those who might not pass it on the street everyday, and share our love for our restaurants. On top of that, we’ve been able to engage with pizza lovers and Austinites alike. What’s so neat about that? We’ve found ourselves talking with some great people that we’ve been able to consider our friends.
Not only have we hosted dinner for the band, We Came As Romans, we’ve been lucky enough to spend a lunch date with our friend, Lesley. What started out as a simple interaction about a video game quickly turned into conversations about games, movies and more.
From social, we got to know and joke around with Lesley. One thing lead to another and there we were, hanging out and having great conversation while enjoying some favorites at Brick Oven. Lunch was great, and Lesley is just as cool in person as she is online. We talked about what she loved about Austin, hobbies and more. Her go-to order? A large slice of sausage and pepperoni – which I also had and it was phenomenal (if you’re ever in need of a quick decision, take her advice.) We’ve seen a lot of changes in 35 years but one thing has always remained the same: family. Whether it’s someone who walks through our door, our regulars or our favorite people online, they’re all family and we’re proud to call them that.
Have you made friends online that you’ve met in person after the fact? We’d love to be one of them! Tell us some of your favorite things to do around Austin or your favorite pizzas here!
